Today Is Enough
Date: March 4, 2026
Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:34
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
Jesus speaks directly to a habit many people struggle with: worrying about the future. The mind naturally drifts toward what might happen tomorrow, next week, or even years from now. While planning has its place, worry carries a different weight. It pulls our attention away from the present and fills it with imagined burdens.
In this verse, Jesus calls His followers to focus on the day in front of them. Each day carries its own responsibilities and challenges. When we pile tomorrow’s uncertainties onto today’s tasks, the load becomes overwhelming. Trust allows us to walk forward without carrying what has not yet arrived.
Matthew 6:34 does not deny that tomorrow matters. Instead, it reminds us that God’s care is constant. The same God who provides today will also be present tomorrow. Faith grows when we trust Him step by step rather than trying to control every outcome in advance.
As we move through today, this verse encourages a shift in perspective. Instead of letting future concerns dominate our thoughts, we can focus on faithful living right now. God’s provision meets us in the present moment.
