Remembered No More

Date: January 19, 2026

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 43:25

“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for My own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”

God speaks these words with authority and tenderness. He makes it clear that forgiveness begins with Him. Sin is not erased because we have earned it or proven ourselves worthy, but because God chooses to forgive. His mercy flows from His character, not our performance.

This verse offers deep reassurance to hearts weighed down by guilt or regret. God does not forgive reluctantly or partially. He blots out transgressions completely and chooses not to remember them. What we often replay in our minds, God has already released. His forgiveness is decisive, not conditional.

Isaiah reminds us that God forgives “for His own sake.” This means forgiveness reflects who He is — faithful, gracious, and loving. When God forgives, He restores relationship and invites us to live free from the burden of the past. Shame loses its grip when we trust God’s promise over our feelings.

As we move through this season, this verse invites us to let go of what God has already removed. Holding onto forgiven sin only weighs down a life God has called to freedom. When we accept His forgiveness fully, we walk in peace and renewed confidence.
