Our Strength Every Morning
Date: November 28, 2025
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 33:1-2
“Woe to you, destroyer, you who have not been destroyed! Woe to you, betrayer, you who have not been betrayed! When you stop destroying, you will be destroyed; when you stop betraying, you will be betrayed. Lord, be gracious to us; we long for You. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.”
Isaiah speaks into a moment of turmoil, betrayal, and oppression — a season where God’s people felt surrounded and vulnerable. Yet in the middle of the chaos, Isaiah lifts a prayer that still anchors us today:
“Lord, be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.”
Each new day brings new pressures, decisions, and demands. But it also brings new mercy. Isaiah reminds us that our strength is not stored somewhere in yesterday — it is renewed every morning by God Himself.
- Our endurance does not come from our ability.
- Our hope does not come from predictable circumstances.
- Our peace does not come from the absence of trouble.
It comes from God — our daily strength and our present salvation.
- When the day feels heavy, He strengthens.
- When distress rises, He saves.
- When betrayal or opposition confronts us, He defends.
God is not only our rescue in crisis — He is our source at sunrise.
Main Takeaways
- God renews our strength every morning with fresh mercy and grace.
