Scripture Reading: Exodus 35:35

“He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.”

This verse highlights a beautiful truth about the heart of God. He does not only call people to spiritual acts like teaching or leading; He also fills people with skill to create, build, and design. The craftsmanship described here is not accidental talent. It is God-given ability, intentionally placed within His people for a holy purpose.

Exodus 35 reminds us that creativity and skill are part of God’s design. The work of the artisans mattered because it contributed to a dwelling place for God’s presence. Their hands became instruments of worship. God values excellence, detail, and dedication when they are offered back to Him in obedience.

This passage also affirms that God equips before He expects. He fills His people with understanding and ability so that the work ahead can be done well. When God calls someone to a task, He provides what is needed to carry it out faithfully. Our responsibility is not to manufacture skill, but to steward what He has already placed within us.

As we move through this season, Exodus 35:35 invites us to view our abilities differently. What you can do is not random. God has placed skills, insight, and creativity in your life for a reason. When offered to Him, even ordinary work becomes sacred.
