God Sees What Is Hidden

Date: December 23, 2025

Scripture Reading: Jude 1:13-14

“They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever. Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: ‘See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of His holy ones.’”

Jude uses strong imagery to describe those who reject God’s authority and distort the truth. Wild waves and wandering stars paint a picture of chaos, instability, and directionlessness. These images remind us that a life disconnected from God may appear powerful or influential for a time, but it lacks true grounding and lasting purpose.

This passage also serves as a reminder that God is not unaware. While deception may flourish briefly and injustice may seem unchecked, nothing escapes the Lord’s attention. Jude points forward to the certainty of God’s coming judgment, affirming that God will ultimately expose what is false and bring all things into the light.

For believers, this truth is both sobering and reassuring. It calls us to examine our own lives, ensuring that we remain anchored in truth rather than drifting with cultural pressure or personal desire. At the same time, it reassures us that God is faithful. He sees what is hidden, He knows what is true, and His justice will prevail in His perfect timing.
